AT just 17, Ben Humphrys is already one of the top archers in England and a Camden sporting legend.
Now he’ll be targeting his biggest ever audience after being picked to feature in an Olympic 2012 Christmas advert for Coca-Cola.
Filmed two-weeks ago at the Olympic Stadium, Ben got the chance to meet music stars such as Katy B and Mark Ronson.
The ad, which will air in December, focuses on the sounds of music being replaced with the sounds of sport, and oddly sees Ben carrying a hurdle instead of his trusty bow.
Enjoying the chance to try something a little different, the Year 13 La Swap student said. “It was a really good experience, an insight into how the stars live and are treated.”
The ad is just one of a whole host of fun events that Ben has been involved in recently.
He was privileged to hold the 2012 Olympic torch at a Lloyds TSB fundraiser at Lord’s Cricket Ground.
And at a recent Conservative Party gathering he got the chance to hold the 1948 Olympic torch. “I had to be very careful not to drop it. It was slightly nerve-wracking,” said Ben.
